Open Letter to All Wedding Guests Regarding Chancellor’s Increase in VAT
Firstly, we would like to assure all our guests that as a small family run business we endeavour to keep any increase in costs to an absolute minimum.
However, the year 2010 affected all aspects of our business with regards to increased costs from commodities through to fuel. In addition to this there was the Chancellor’s notification in June 2010 that there would be a VAT increase of 2.5% in January 2011. As a company, we have included a 10% annual increase option within all our Terms and Conditions to cover such unforeseen circumstances.
Despite this, the family, have taken the decision to absorb the costs with the exception of the VAT and not pass them on to our guests. When adjusting for the recent rise of 2.5% in VAT costs were rounded up to the nearest pound.
In an effort to keep the increase to an absolute minimum, all bedroom rates and ceremony charges will be held at the previously confirmed rate.
