Updated guidelines from 21st December 2020 – 27th April 2021
Further to the FM’s announcement on Saturday 19th December and the introduction of the Tier 4 restrictions throughout Scotland, it is with great sadness that we have had to temporarily close the hotel until 27th April 2021. We are so sorry to disappoint all our arriving guests who were booked to stay over the course of these dates and appreciate your understanding given the short notice and that the situation is out with all of our control. During the closure we have a small team of staff working to keep the hotel safe however you will not be able to make contact with us by telephone as our phone lines will be closed off, our Reservations Team can be contacted by email firstname.lastname@example.org and if we’ve not already managed to get in touch with you in connection with your booking to make alternative arrangements then please do drop us a message and we will endeavour to reply as quickly as we can. Rest assured we can reschedule or cancel/refund your booking as is required.
We thank all of our guests who have been able to visit us in 2020 and to all the team who have done an amazing job making The Lodge a safe and welcoming place during these unprecedented times and with a vaccine now with us look forward to happier days ahead.
Best wishes from all at The Lodge on Loch Lomond
Staying or visiting us in November/December 2020 or January 2021 – important update as of the 9th November 2020
Unfortunately we have some changes to our calendar/opening times throughout the months of November & December 2020 and January 2021 – we are so sorry for any inconvenience however due to the ever changing and increasing travel restrictions around Covid and the implications of how this now affects the business on these quieter months we have had to put in place some contingencies to deal with the situation. This is not a decision we have taken lightly and appreciate your ongoing understanding with this. It will still be very much business as usual as per the below:
November/December 2020 & January 2021
Sunday to Thursday – the hotel will be closed. (From 5pm on a Sunday until 10am on a Friday) with the exception of Thursday 3rd/10th/17th December and Sunday 13th/20th/27th December which will be open as normal.
Friday to Sunday – the hotel will be open. (From 10am on a Friday until 5pm on a Sunday)
We do hope as soon as the situation improves nationally that we will be able to review and revert to our typical 7 day opening hours.
Our Reservations Team have reached out to everyone who had a booking on the affected days however there may be some instances whereby we haven’t been able to speak with you personally or where you haven’t responded to us – please do get in touch to reschedule your booking or arrange a refund via email@example.com – we will endeavour to reply as quickly as we can.
Due to stay or visit the Lodge on Loch Lomond from 2nd November 2020 onwards.
For Argyll & Bute we are placed in Tier 2 of the new Scottish Government Protection Level, the good news is this now means from 2nd November 2020 we are permitted to serve alcoholic drinks indoors to your table whilst eating a main meal. Non Residents – we can serve food & drinks from 12noon until 8pm, Residents can dine/drink at their table until 10pm close/finish, room service drinks are still available after dinner should you wish to retire to your room.
Top Tips for guests staying with us during these dates
Arrive early to make the most of your time in the daylight – whether that be dining in the Restaurant or staying over! Since the clocks have changed it is now getting dark from 5.00pm onwards and this creeps earlier every night. Whilst you won’t be able to check in to your room until 3pm you can still enjoy a table in the Lounge or Restaurant and we can keep a hold of your luggage to allow you to explore the area. We will endeavour to have your room ready as soon as possible!
Bring warm clothing & perhaps a blanket/rug to wrap around you should you wish to take advantage of your balcony and make the most of those Room Service Drinks & Snacks in the evening after your dinner – call 145 from your room to arrange with our team.
Ongoing Guidelines for residents:
Follow the 6 persons/2 households rule when dining in the Restaurant.
Only 1 household per bedroom.
Please do not wander the hotel corridors with alcohol that has been served to you via Room Service. Usual 24hrs Room Service available.
The same standard hotel guidelines apply in regards to not being permitted to bring and consume your own alcohol anywhere in the hotel or hotel grounds/beach, including your bedroom.
Should you need any further guidance please make contact with the team: firstname.lastname@example.org
