Lodge on Loch Lomond - Colquhoun's Restaurant Review

The banks of Loch Lomond are most definitely bonnie. So bonnie in fact they wrote a song about it. After a truly blithesome day by the waterside you tend to get a little peckish, which is why as well as being beautiful the banks especially along the west side of the Loch are dotted with restaurants and hotels, all arranged to capture that inspiring view across the water, and less than an hours drive from the centre of Glasgow.

It will come as no surprise that the Lodge on Loch Lomond is one such venue, the clue is in the name after all! Along with stunning views there are some great outside areas for enjoying the Scottish day of summer, the terrace was set up for the wedding fair that was on when we visited, and you have to agree what a great location for a wedding it would make. One outdoor space that now isn't outdoors is the old balcony, now fully enclosed with floor to ceiling glass, you can enjoy the landscape without having to enjoy the fresh elements or the midgies! This space is now Colquhoun's restaurant.
